Chris won Peoples Choice at the Feb. 18th, 2006 Art Show at the Queen Charlotte Visitors Center. The display is done and the piece is sold. What a gorgeous harpoon.

On to life off island, Chris is down on Vancouver Island again. We will miss him and hope he comes back soon.

Chris grew up in Alberta, moving to BC ten years ago. Tahsis is where Chris began to carve. For the last 8 years carving mainly in wood, he has touched on many mediums but keeps coming back to wood.

In 1999 Chris won People Choice and 3rd place over all, in a Campbell River Art Gallery Carving Contest.

Chris enjoys working with other artists and has done many pieces in conjunction with others, including the Haida of Queen Charlotte Islands. Each bringing their own talents to the piece to create an astounding end product.
