'Perspectives'
has this beautiful woman poised on the claw of a dragon. Look closely to see
the sword she holds hidden in her hair.
Sculptor - Fred Watmough |

'Bearmother' This beautiful sculpture, approx. 11inches tall,
shows a mother with a cub on her hip. Nurture and Nature.
Sculptor - Fred Watmough |

Yew wood carved knife that can even
function as a knife. The brass dowels are a final touch. A beautiful piece
for any knife collection.
Artist - Tom Argue |

Aquamarine wrapped in Sterling Silver. The chain is hand
wrapped links accented with aquamarine chips. The color in the main pendant
is the most powerful aqua I have seen. |
The
body of the hairpiece is steamed and bent to shape then carved. The Yew wood
even when quite thin is strong yet flexible. An unusual and beautiful
hairpiece, sure to attract attention when worn. |

We may add more artists to our group as we go. At the moment there is 4 artists
represented here: Fred Watmough, Tom Argue, Michelle Argue and Chris Dobranski.
There is a real variety of work to look at. While
both Tom Argue and Fred
Watmough work in the dense beautiful BC coral and the Wooly Mammoth
'fossil' Ivory, they are
very different pieces from the same medium.
Fred Watmough
is an amazing artist of an
expert caliber. The
sculptures in
coral, or the scrimshanding in the ivory, draw your eye back a thousand times
to find more detail and depth. Hidden treasures are still found after years with
the same piece.
Tom Argue has an incredible eye. The natural lines, turns and colors of the
medium itself are accented. Pieces that you want to stroke, give a new
appreciation of the nature that held this treasure.
Michelle Argue
works in Sterling Silver and
Semi-precious Stones. Wire wrapping in a style all her own, each piece is a one
of a kind. Stones are accented, color, meaning and shape are the focus. A new
look to an old craft.
Chris Dobranski
carves
mostly in wood and has a flare for many different styles and forms of art.
Everything from chip carving, intricate paddles and candles. Dragons have been a
reoccurring theme, but there is more ravens showing up all of the time. Beautiful
work in many forms.
